Just read "In the Blood" by Lisa Unger and couldn't put it down! I think it is one of the better psychological thrillers I have read in a while. Subject matter is potentially troublesome(put me in the mind of the movie, "We need to Talk About Kevin"), but I thought the author pulled it together nicely overall. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars due to some issues I had. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

I thought In the Blood was great no spoilers here.

To Linders Back I read Girl in Hyacinth Blue a long time ago and enjoyed it if audible ever has it on sale maybe I'll get it.

And to all who wrote about The Lost Girls I have that home from the library.

Re: What Are You Reading --- July 2014

I read Mile 81 by Stephen King yesterday. It was very short and if you like the old Stephen King, this one's for you. Monsters and other scary stuff. Short and sweet!

Now I'm reading Commune of Women by Susan Still, and A Stranger in the Kingdom by Howard Frank Mosher. I started one this morning, and another this afternoon because they're both going to be due at the library very soon (after 20 renewals you have to return them so they can see that you still have it.) I couldn't decide which one to read so I started them both. I'm going to finish Commune of Women first. It's about a terrorist attack at LA Airport, where six female survivors hide in a small room together. Right now they're pooling their resources (medications, change for the snack machine, etc). One woman was shot and badly injured. I'm really enjoying it. Oh it also includes one female terrorist who is hiding in the control room at the airport.

So, I'm a busy girl. Have a happy reading weekend!

Are there any more books in the genre of The Paris Architect? I loved that book.

I also enjoyed THE PARIS ARCHITECT. I downloaded a sample recently called THE PARIS TIME CAPSULE by Ella Carey that looked promising. You may enjoy that.

Oh you guys! (oops, or gals!) (Sorry if guys is offensive to anyone). Another book to go one my list. I just put a hold on The Paris Architect.

And I saw that All The Light We Cannot See (Anthony Doerr) is available now through my library so I put that on hold, too. I'm #46. LOL

smoky, a few years ago my DD bought a house-a small house for herself and her dog. (now married with lots of dogs, lol). Anyway, this house was moved onto its lot by a father with a blind daughter who had learned the house by heart. The only way he would move was to move the house where he wanted to be.Which they did. It worked out well. Kind of sad I thought. It reminded me of the book you just put on hold - All the Light We Cannot See.

Just finished When Day Breaks by Maya Banks. I was disappointed with it. The plot was interesting, but most of the story was repetition of how the two main characters felt about each other. The story really didn't get interesting until the end of the book.

Now I'm starting 9th Girl by Tami Hoag.

That was a very kind and thoughtful father. It makes me think that house had really good vibes. And it sounds like your daughter was very happy there. Interesting story!

Re: What Are You Reading --- July 2014

Just finished the 2nd of the Divergent series, Insurrgent. Today I starting either Gravity by Tess Gerrittsen or Brad Thor's new book, Act of War. Can't decide which to start (I work PT in my local library, so I get the pick of the new box of books).
