Well, I read The Girl On The Train. Kudos to the author for turning this thinly plotted, obvious story into a bestseller. It had a slow start and then it becomes a page turner, but ultimately I was disappointed. Can't say any more.
I'm now reading As Chimney Sweepers Come To Dust, the next chapter in the delightful Flavia de Luce adventures.

I'm reading this now-

In Amy Sohn’s smart, sexy, satirical peek into the bedrooms and hearts of Prospect Park West, the lives of for women come together during one long, hot Brooklyn summer. Frustrated Oscar-winning actress Melora Leigh eager to relieve the pressures of raising her adopted toddler, feels the seductive pull of kleptomania; Rebecca Rose, missing her formerly robust secks life, begins a dangerous flirtation with handsome neighborhood celebrity Lizzi O’Donnell, former lesbian (or "hasbian"), wonders what draws her to women despite her sexy husband and adorable baby; and Karen Bryan Shapiro consumes herself with a powerful obsession—snagging the ultimate three-bedroom apartment in a well-maintained, P.S. 321–zoned co-op building. As the women’s paths intertwined (and sometimes collide), each must struggle to keep her man, her sanity . . and her playdates.
When I finish that I'll start this-

Recently started Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan. It was a little confusing at first trying to keep all the characters straight, but now that I'm about 1/4 into it, I am enjoying it.

I read this, but I didn't love it. I probably won't give this author another chance. ![]()

It's.very.very.slow. I want to pull the bookmark but it's just lovely enough that I can't. But it's so slow I can feel the flowers and trees in the garden growing in real time, LOL.

Just started Case Histories by Kate Atkinson. It is the first in a series about a private investigator, Jackson Brodie. I have read a few of her stand alone novels and think she's amazing.

I loved all the Jackson Brodie books, although the 2nd one was my favorite. I wish she would write another one. I think she's amazing, too

I just finished Gray Mountain by Grisham and was somewhat disappointed. Guess I was expecting more. Strip Mining in Coal Country Appalachia. It could have been great, but it just wasn't. Maybe there will be a sequel and he can finish what he started, or if his female protagonist can, that is. I would probably read to see if there might be a better conclusion.
Unsure what I'm going to pick up next. Maybe All The Light We Cannot See.
