Re: What Are You Reading --- December 2014

This morning I finished Tell the Wolves I'm Home, by Carol Rifka Brunt. I loved it! Thank you to everyone who recommended it. The book has been on my TBR list for quite a while but it wasn't a book I would have chosen to read, as there are so many others to choose from.

This evening I started What we Leave Behind, by Rochelle B. Weinstein. It seems good so far. We'll see how it goes, as I need another excellent book, not just "good" {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Happy reading everyone!

SAgal was so glad you too enjoyed The Last Child but it sure was heads and tales over his newest one which was a huge disappointment to me....Iron House I think it was.

I am now and still haven't finished Gray Mountain and am enjoying it a lot. Did you ever check out Lisa Jewell's The House We Grew Up in and another of hers which was fantastic called The Making of Us??? She is my new favorite writer (new to me--not to the Britians). If you read any of Lisa's, would love to know if you loved them as much as I did!

Silly girl - I was the one who told you about THE HOUSE WE GREW UP IN!

hi lovescats, I read The Farm earlier this year, and I loved it. I got into it immediately and I literally couldn't put it down, as I had to know how it ended.

I hope you'll try it and let us know what you think.

Started "Mean Streak" by Sandra Brown...what the heck has happened to her?! I will do my best to finish this book, but she is off of my "go-to authors" list. Will not elaborate so as not to spoil for anyone wanting to read this one.

Finished Flowers for Algernon and Plainsong. Recommend both. Now I'm getting ready to start my next Molly Gloss novel, The Hearts of Horses. I really enjoy her novels about the American West.

Re: What Are You Reading --- December 2014

I'm starting MR. MERCEDES again. THE BURNING ROOM was probably my least favorite Michael Connelly book that I've read. I just finished SOME LUCK by Jane Smiley. I had a hard time getting into the book but I imagine I will read the next one when it comes out. (this title is book 1 of a trilogy.)
