Back to Relic. Re-reading the Pendergast series by Preston & Child with DD.

That is my husband's and son's favorite series. I've only read a couple so far.

Just started The Storied Life of AJ Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin. Story of a widower on an island off Massachusetts who runs an independent bookstore and whose life changes dramatically when a ""Mysterious package"" is left in his shop.

Each chapter is introduced by his critique of a book which hints at what's to come. I think any reader and lover of books would enjoy this.

I really enjoyed The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry. It was one of my favorites last year!

I was not a fan of Last Night at the Blue Angel. I'll be curious to know what you think about it, lovescats.

I didn't care for Last Night At the Blue Angel, either.

I loved The Storied life of A.J. Fikry. Thanks for reminding me that I should start making a list of books i loved. There weren't that many books I loved this past year.

I'll be anxious to hear what you and others think of The Bees. I started reading it this past summer, but didn't finish it. I did empathize with the main character, and would like to finish it one day.

Today, I'll be starting Plainsong by Kent Haruf. (I need a change of pace and something different after Flowers for Algernon.)

I finished One Plus One by JoJo Moyes. It was fine. Not great, not bad.{#emotions_dlg.bored}

I also read Sophie Kinsella's Shopoholic to the Stars. I believe she needs to pull the plug on this series. It's lost it's charm for me. The ending was totally unsatisfying. You must read the next installment to obtain complete resolution.{#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

Re: What Are You Reading --- December 2014

I'm listening to Prince Lestat by Anne Rice and my first impression is good but needs an editor. It's 15 cd's from the library. I don't think you need to read the rest before this but I would definitely read Interview with the Vampire first if you never read any of her books.

Has anyone one else read this? I feel I'm going to be majorly disappointed. .

I'm giving up. The guy at the library said it wasn't that good but I thought how bad could it be.

I'll be interested if someone else reads it whether or not they like it.

As of last night finally my turn at the Library for Gray Mountain, John Grisham. Loving it!

Read Shotgun Lovesongs by Nickolas Butler. His debut novel - story of four life long friends who grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and the different paths their lives took. Enjoyed it.
