What A Perfect Spring Day ! !

I got my creaky old body out the door about 10am to run to the grocery store.

It is cool but with a brilliant blue sky and a ton of sunshine.  Last week was cold, rainy and depressing. It was great to have the car windows and sunroof open.

I even took the long way because it was so gorgeous out.............and I am a shortest route available woman usually. Ran through Dunkin on the way home and got a coffee to enjoy on the porch after groceries were put away.

Are you getting any of this great weather?  Oops, I am in NE PA.

I'm in the metro-DC area and while the temperature is lovely, the sunshine is hazy......due to smoke from forest fires in Alberta, Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's beautiful here in my part of PA., too. It's 72 degrees. Have windows slighty opened. Can't open too much as the cats might push out the screens.

@CrazyKittyLvr2   Here in southern Florida today is already more summer than spring, but I talked with a northern friend an hour ago who is loving spring on Long Island.

@catter70   You are like me with the screens and the cats.  Well, Petunia, anyway.  She sees a bird, a fly or even a leaf and she is on her hind paws  with her front paws on the screen.  She went out a second floor window 2 summers ago and about gave me another stroke.

Tess is 14 and is just happy to bask on the window sill.

My daughter comes home and asks why the windows aren't open all the way.  Answer, Petunia can't be trusted to behave.

My window screens will pop out too, so I bought some of the temporary screens that slide to fit the window and add them on the inside when I open the windows. It reinforces and prevents my cat from pushing the outside scren out.

Central Florida is hot and dry!  We've been in a drought for a while now!

90 degrees today, in May already!  Usually we wait 'til August or Sept for that temp!

Thursday should bring some clouds and RAIN.  Sure hope it gets here!

Glad you are able to enjoy these Spring days!  We skipped Spring and went to late Summer !

@CrazyKittyLvr2 , my Stormy fell from my loft about 3 years ago. Took him to the vet just in case and it cost $500.00 to find out nothing was wrong. I don't even go upstairs much anymore because as soon as I do, there he is, eying the railing.

My cat likes to lean out over the railing of the loft at our beach house.  I often fear she is going to jump.  Last fall she was leaning over the edge of our two story deck to investigate a bird in a tree next to the deck and fell over the edge into the tree.  She was fine but embarassed.

@catter70   We have a loft too.  We had to block the railing off with sheets of plywood to keep Miss Petunia off it.

My orange boy Gizmo tried to jump from the railing to the couch. He landed on the coffee table and shattered the ceramic shade I had on a Yankee candle. The candle went rolling on the floor with Gizmo in hot pursuit.

The 1st cat I ever had fell on the railing. She sat up, shook herself and looked at me like, "the fall wasn't bad but the sudden stop was a bi*ch".

My dogs never gave me the near heart attacks those nosey cats have. lol
