Well. I Have Seen it All

[ Edited ]

I went to Safeway today and I saw a lady with two kids, all of them dressed in pajamas. She also had big fuzzy slippers and a old robe on. By the looks of her hair and the kids hair, it was apparent they just got out of bed although it was later in the afternoon. Not sure if they were sick or what, but I stayed a distance away from them just in case.  This is a nice area, so I doubt she was dressed this way because she could not afford clothes.

I feel the same on this as your reaction @Calcgirl

I once brought this up a few years ago that bf and I were staying at a hotel and people were coming down to the breakfast that way~cultural downgrade imho. And I was jumped all over for being "snobby" lol. Whatever.

This year we were at a very elegant Thanksgiving Inn and a guy came in (or downstairs to get his meal to bring back up, not sure but he went up to the bar)...bf was "he's in his pajama bottoms?!" I said..."yeah, kind of common these days" but he still found it "unusual."

Like you said...I sometimes think, maybe that poor soul came out of the house and is sick but needed something. Other than that...Get dressed, people!!

If you feel differently...ok.

I saw a very "curvy" woman in Target wearing only a skin-color body suit.  She got a LOT of attention...

The BF's preschool grandson dressed up in his baby shark pj's when we went to dinner in DC.  Complete with fin on the butt and hood with scales. He did get quite a look from kids his age who wore nice pj bottoms.

Thank you, I worked very hard to get out of the poor, impoverished area I grew up in.  My dad always reminded me a ticket to getting out of there was a good education, in a field that paid well and hard work.  I took his advice and the Lord Blessed me.

I assume the poor lady must be sick.   Having autoimmune issues I stayed away from her. I have already had Covid three times and yes, I have been vaccinated and boostered.  Maybe that kept me from dying from the crud.

I thought I had seen - well, most of it - when I went into the grocery the other day, and this rather plump lady was dressed in cow pj's. Tight-fitting, too!

I didn't think she was either. I thought she was making a comment about wearing pj's in public. Since that's what the Q's been hawking lately.

I, personally, do not care for this casual attitude.

Depending on which Walmart I travel to, I have seen some sights.......

But there have been times of emergencies when I have made a quick trip to Walmart looking less than ideal.😳😳😳😳
