No, you don't eat less. You can actually eat way more if you don't eat sugary foods!

I also find that I am eating more but different food-
you can eat whatever you want but need to track those higher points.
Sometimes I do eat a piece of cake but track it .
I don't deprive myself of anything- if I want it that badly I track it.
My sugar cravings are gone- if I feel like cookies I am happy with
2 graham crackers which are 2 of my 30 daily points.
I don't eat processed foods at all- I work at home so I don't need
to pack lunches each day. I've gotten a lot of ideas for low point foods
from Connect.

I don't know how far I can get if carbs are strictly limited. I like to have a lunch sandwich with Sara Lee 45 calorie bread. That used to be 2 points for the bread on the previous plan.
@Noel7 This thread has false info. Sara Lee 45 still has 1 pt. per slice. The carbs are NOT high point. The sugary foods ARE. That's pretty much only thing that went way higher in points.

@Trinity11@SoonerI have been on WW for a year and I have never purchased any of their foods except the individual bagged chips at the meetings. I've only gotten them a couple times. You can eat your own food 100% if desired, so not sure why it turned you off. I have not ever bought the meals or desserts.

I gained weight on Weight Watchers after the birth of my son. I had to go on a very strict low carbohydrate diet and even when I got down to a very low weight, I had to continue to severely limit carbohydrates. None of my friends have been successful on it in the long term. Everyone has re-gained the weight. Another thing I dislike about Weight Watchers is that they have no statistics as to who keeps the weight off. After all these years, that important piece of information seems to be missing....

@Trinity11If you quit a plan, it quits working! I don't care what plan it is.
If is appears like I am defending WW, I guess I am. It is a wonderful plan. You have to be on it forever to keep the weight off! That's the depressing part.

@mima I never lost more than about 10 pounds and then quit. No matter how strictly I followed the plan, I couldn't lose another pound. I had to go to "cleaner" eating, and fewer calories to continue losing.
I just found the flan allowed too many extra calories for me, and if I ate to lose weight (lots of veggies and lean meat) I'd come in below their point count. That's been a few years ago, but playing by their rules simply didn't work very long fo rme. I'm sure it does for many, but didn't for me. Too many carbs I guess. . .

I personally hated the new plan. I've hated every plan they've come out with that had flexpoints involved.
As far as Oprah, who cares? What difference does it make if she has a chef cooking her meals or not? Obviously, she's had access to a chef for years but she has been overweight so she's proof that just because you have a chef doesn't mean you are going to be thin. So OPRAH is one who wouldn't lose weight with a chef. Unless he was following her around 24/7 and monitoring everything, Oprah could eat anything after she ate what he cooked.

As far as I know, there is still an online only program. If you decide to go to meetings instead, I would suggest trying out as many as are convenient for you

As silly as this may sound, I found a group leader that suited me the most. I liked all the others, but this leader and the group members have become a part of my life now. My husband initially started with me to lose 15 lbs., and he dropped out of the meetings once that was accomplished.
When I was a member under the 123 Success Program, I absolutely loved my leader. She made the program for me and I really think was an integral part of me being successful. She left and since then I've not found a leader I can connect with. Heck I cannot even find a leader I can stand sitting through a meeting listening to. The meeting most convenient for me has turned into nothing more than a social gathering for many of the women. So I don't think you sound silly at all.

This is not true. I lost a lot of weight on a program 15+ years ago and I have several relatives who were very successful on WW programs throughout the years.
WW is trying to move people to eat more healthy foods. They also have always subscribed to the a calorie is a calorie is a calorie theory and now they do not. That is why eating any type of "junk" food is going to cost you more points. They would rather you eat fruit than a 100 calorie snack pack of something.
They don't just want people to lose weight, they want people to be healthier and eat in a healthier way.
