Re: Websites that Remove Negative Reviews or Comments

Yes. When I worked for Oprah.com, we had to scour the entire site every day, sometimes twice a day and remove any and I mean ANY negative reviews of the show or her. Any negative remark from "this show was stupid" to "Oprah's hair looked terrible today" had to be removed. Good thing we had the right tools to do it in a very fast and efficient manner.Smiley LOL

I've had Amazon delete my negative review just because the vendor complained, but I was in the right stating the vendor displayed a photo of  a named brand item and mentioned the named brand in their description but I got a cheap knockoff instead.....and I stated my complaint in a professional manner and did follow Amazon's guidelines!

I've had the same experience with Amazon. I rarely leave negative reviews. But on the few occasions when I've had a bad experience with a third-party vendor and have left a comment about it the vendor got Amazon to remove the review.

I had the same problem with Amazon. I bought shoes and they came to me worn so I complained. The next day my review was taken down. I said nothing but that they were previously worn.

The Kohl's website won't even post negative reviews, I see people complaining about this often on the Facebook page for the store.

Several years ago I posted a so so review for shoes that I'd purchased at the Shoebuy website. They edited my review, posting only the good things I'd said about the shoes.

I refuse to do any more reviews for Kohl's. They are way too manipulative. Same with TripAdvisor since Yahoo bought them.

I recently spotted a pair of Mukluk slippers I liked on the Kohl's web site. Nothing but positive, no gushing reviews. The same style of Mukluks appeared on QVC. About half of the reviews posted on QVC.com were pretty miserable. I momentarily wondered whether QVC buyers were more discerning than Kohl's buyers. Cat Tongue  No, it was clear Kohl's had a hand in the reviews.
