Let's just say, past history.

That's what I'm talking about. Why drag around grudges from previous threads.

It spoils the fun and creates a combative atmosphere.

In most cases I would whole heartedly agree. But some posters just can't be nice, ever, about anything, and actually search out the combative exchange.  And many know the drill with those posters, and just don't put up with it.

I would be interested in knowing WHICH posts of HH's you are referring to because I don't see that on this thread.

I looked all the way through this thread for these supposedly offensive things I said - I did not find anything. I think some people here have very active imaginations. I have reported the piling on to mods.

Posts that are deleted by the mods can no longer be seen.

She is venting.

You may offer advice; that doesn't obligate her to take it.  JMHO

The OP is perfectly allowed to vent.  If the OP only wanted to vent and not receive advice, she could have stated that in her OP.

Some people may not be aware that you can "opt out" of communication with a business and, thus, people have been helpful here in offering that very simple advice.  Certainly the OP is not obligated to take that advice, however I don't see that anyone here has forced any advice on her.

Re: Way too much communication...

I don't think the problem is that she received advice; I think the problem is people attacking her for "complaining."

This thread has a life of its own.

"Attacked" is a very subjective observation.  People are also allowed to express their annoyance with chronic complaining, chronic complainers, or a post they do not agree with.   I will say it again, if the OP did not wish to receive any responses other than those that would commisserate with her, then she could have stated so in her OP.

Re: Way too much communication...

I think some people take what spits out of computers these days too seriously.  The phone calls and emails are just programmed by working stiffs doing their jobs and hoping for the best.  There is really nothing human about them and they have nothing to do with the real life people you see in the stores.  The big chains probably just have people overseas fitting this kind of thing in with other duties.  No big shakes.
