Re: Watching Lisa R's Live Web Tonight????

@lucymo

It's very hot & humid here (SE coastal GA) too, so I feel your pain!

You're right, a nice cool rain shower would be nice!

Nothing quite like women supporting other women. So transparent. The more Lisa is torn apart here, the more obvious she is still relevant.

Relevant to what?

I have no hate nor love for her, but since she's moved on from QVC, why can't she be "still relevant" on her own venues such as FB and her Vlog rather than here, where she is, in fact, irrelevant since she's no longer associated with QVC?

She wouldn't get "torn apart" there, (using your words), although I don't see her being "torn apart" here.

It just doesn't make sense to post the constant threads here instead, don't most 'Fans' use their idol's 'fan' websites?

The only reason she may be called "relevant" is that I know no one who is discussed as much as she is with such enthusiasm and disdain....except maybe the Kardashian's on this board.

She's attractive, made plenty of money and enjoys self promotion. So do a lot of other successful women but they aren't all that interesting enough to get over 100 responses on this forum. I skip most of what she does but that still doesn't mean I won't support a successful woman in her endeavors.

Wow...snarky much?  At least she's out there giving it her best shot.  And when has she ever said anything NEGATIVE about QVC?  I don't think she needs to carry on about the Q and her previous carrer.  She's trying to move on.  I wish her the best and like to uplift women following their dreams.  Go Lisa!!!

@KingstonsMom. That little guy is so cute and looks like he lives here in southern Mo.  We get pretty cold in winter so I try not to complain about heat too much,  better than the cold. Smiley Happy

@Melania

Add to everything you said, she tells people on FaceBook

that she has to see a therapist.

@punky brewster

Adding to what you wrote taking pictures of herself, almost every day.  That is really sad.

I pass by threads that I'm not interested in too, I'm just genuinely curious why these threads are still brought here when she has her own social media venues, especially since she's been gone from QVC for almost 2 years.

I don't see continuous threads about all of the other ex-hosts from QVC.

As I mentioned, it just seems to me that most 'fans' post on their idol's fan sites with like-minded fans and I wondered why it was different in this person's case.

I wouldn't know the answer, if I didn't ask the question, that's how I learn how others think.

@KingstonsMom Thank you for your answer, I honestly wonder why people read threads that they say they're not interested in.   Guess they just like putting people down.  I know nothing about LR since she left the Q and I doubt anyone else on here does so it's just speculation.  Thanks and I wish you a great day.  It's very hot and humid here and we're wishing for a cooling rain shower.  A bit OT, lol.

Since when has a thread that people are motivated to comment on/in mean they invariably like or are in favor of the subject, or that that is "required"?

Use any thread on any subject here as an example - there are always likes and dislikes, pros and cons, and back-and-forth discussions. If someone starts a thread on *anything*, why is it less valid if people comment negatively?

Why is "I don't like X because" less contributory than an avalanche of gushing praise? Who said only those who praise are *allowed* to be "interested?" Yes, people may be interested enough to put their 2 cents worth in a discussion without feeling like they can't/shouldn't say anything negative.

The whole idea that no one should ever say anything at all that isn't loving, uplifting, supportive, positive, praising, yadda yadda is ridiculous. Life is life. It isn't always sunshine, rainbows & puppies.

NOWHERE on these forums, however, except in the Lisa threads, do people attack those who have *anything* to say that isn't 100% positive as being completely inappropriate to the thread. Not positive? Doesn't belong here. Don't like Lisa (which really means, don't LOVE Lisa)? Don't post here. Have an opinion? If it's not 100% favorable, just pass on by and don't post here.

No. People have opinions of Lisa's career, her marketing skills, her FB and web pages, and how she presents herself/is marketing herself and whatever else she sells. Having these opinions means they ARE interested to some degree, it's just that their interest is counter to the tribe, who feel compelled to drive it out. Just FYI, not going to happen. But y'all keep on starting threads and expecting a different outcome. Hope springs eternal, I guess,

@lucymo  Excellent post!  Smiley Happy   Lisa is irrelevant here. Gee, maybe I should start Kathy Levine threads constantly.  I liked her as a host and still do.  But as you say, she's pretty irrelevant to my life right now!

@Pearlee

Because of the way it's posted, you may have mixed together my post that she quoted, with her response.

I'm the one who said that LR was "irrelevant" here now that she's been gone for almost 2 years and I just don't want lucymo to be blamed for my comment.

@Her response is the last paragraph that begins with @KingstonsMom.

@KingstonsMom  @lucymo@ Sorry for the mixup ladies.   But I will say that it was very hard to distinguish who is saying what in that post, and also in a later post between both of you.  May I please suggest doing what I do - when the board "makes" us post within someone else's post, rather than at the end of the post being quoted, please distinguish your post using a different color.  I usualy put mine in blue and sometimes in red, so people can distinguish what I'm saying and what the other person was saying.  I think that helps to avoid such mixups as what occurred above.  It's very easy to miss an @ symbol, esp. if you didn't increase the font size.
