The scanner app that WM has (or had) didn't work most of the time. When I would scan an item, it would say "not a Walmart item" or other weird messages. I deleted it. They removed the scanners that customers used in the stores because shoppers would dump the items they scanned next to the scanner and they had no full- time staff to re- shelf the items. There was usually a big pile of unwanted items on the floor. Problem solved if they would put a shopping cart by the scanner.

People are pigs.  If I don't want an item I actually take it back to where it belongs and put it back on the shelf.  What a concept.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Absolutely making things tougher by taking away their scanners. Not everyone

has a phone or has it with them. No I would not put the app on my device.

Not a big WM shopper and don't want that. But you can take an item to

a self checkout and price scan.

When I call attention to a price that rings up wrong at Walmart, I usually get a blank stare or "so you don't want it then?". I say nope, I don't want it. Some of these people are so clueless it isn't worth my time trying to explain anything. One time at Kohls I got so frustrated I went back to the bedding dept and removed the sign that shows the sale price that was $50 less than what I was being charged. I gave it to the cashier and she took the $50 off.  I rarely shop there,  it Kohls is one of the places that are big on sales...and their system does t keep up with the sale prices they put on signs or online.

The story here is that we allow people to steal and it's fine,  people apparently don't need jobs and it's fine, and we have useless laws and no control over what goes on in the USA now. Anarchy reigns.

Usually long lines at self check out because there are very few cashiers if any

From what I see it is the stock people, not shoppers.  I say this because there will be a lot of the same item in the same place and no one bothers to change the price on the shelf.

What? The OP didn't steal anything! She just wanted a price adjustment from Walmart management.

@catter70 In grocery stores in CT, and I'm sure that includes WalMart, if an item (food) rings up for more than price on the shelf, or advertised price, that item is free, up to a $20 value.  If you have 2 or more of the same item, the first one is free.  On the subsequent items, you get the difference of the overcharged price.  There are signs posted in-store regarding this policy.  You may want to check your store, probably at the courtesy desk.  I can remember one time I purchased an item that was advertised $7.98 and was charged $7.99.  Went to the courtesy desk for a refund which I got.  Needless to say the clerk wasn't too happy.  Kept telling me, "it's only a penny".  Better in my pocket than theirs.  BTW-  if this is your store policy, complain at the courtesy desk, don't correct the cashier.  The cashier can't refund your money.  The courtesy desk can.

I seldom shop at WalMart, but this seems to be an ongoing issue with prices.... I always go thru self checkout...if something rings up different than the price on the shelf I let them know before leaving the store.
