Trying to get information about Walmart +, specifically for grocery delivery and potentially prescripion delivery for my daughter who attends an out of state university. Does she have to make her own account or can we have the account (since we're paying for it) and she uses it? Has anyone done this?
Thank you

I have an account that my college son uses also. There is a spot where you can select different delivery addresses and different stores to shop from.

@ScrapHappy. I've gotten grocery delivery from Walmart for several years but not prescriptions. I would call Walmart CS and ask about the account name. Surely ordering for another person is not that unusual.
I have their # as 800/925-6278.

I use Walmart+ for delivery at my home and at other addreses when i am out of town. You can add other addreses and payment methods in your account. I don't see why you couldn't share the same account. You can choose if they just leave it at your door or hand the items to you. The only tricky thing is that recently they added a new security feature where they text me a 4-digit code to show the delivery person when I choose to have the items handed to me. As long as you can let them know the code, you should be alright.

She'll be in an apartment this year. Gated/security. From our understanding all packages/deliveries go to front office and the office notifies resident. I'm thinking that may make it complicated? I've tried reaching out to Walmart in the state we live in and the state she goes to school in and really get no concrete information.

I know they have promos on membership @$50/year. Personally I would get an account in her name. The reason why I say this is that I let my DIL use mine and from time-to-time they were out of something and wanted approval on the replacement. I would have to contact her for the item. I could not always get her at work so they would leave item off. She, your daughter, can handle all of this instead of you and also she will get all the notifications, item missing, approve new item, delivery is on schedule, behind schedule, just dropped grocery items off, etc.

@ScrapHappy, I agree about needing her own account, especially if for groceries. My groceries options are linked to my account and come from a specific store.
You may be able to change the store to your daughter's delivery area, but I don't know with groceries if it's doable.
I do know that not all Walmart carry things available in some stores. If she's out of state I imagine products to that store come from a different distribution center.

I definitely would check with WalMart for clarification. I'd be more afraid of prescription deliveries being an issue than any grocery or other items.
Prescription deliveries to other addresses, and depending on what the prescriptions are, may require more security or account member signatures or something.

I used to order for my disabled sister. I had to update the delivery address when ordering for her. Otherwise, it worked fine.
