This week you can join Walmart+ for $49 for one year. I've never joined because I do curbside pickup.

However, it appears there's a new benefit: free pickup of returns from your home by local drivers. No repacking. No printing of shipping labels. Excludes Marketplace purchases. It looks like the only small print is you must be home to hand your return to the driver.

Has anyone tried this new option? How much would you tip a returns driver?

@PickyPicky3   I'm wondering if this offer applies to grocery delivery?

@Kachina624   Do you mean the $49 or returning moldy bread?

@Kachina624 , I don't know about returns, but I've had this service for close to a year and my grocery delivery is free. Also free shipping on regular orders. I love grocery delivery and so far it's worked out fine.

I'm a Walmart Family, and this will apply for now to some stores simply because Walmart has a HUGE problem being understaffed, and not all stores have drivers.
This really is a select section of cuties and areas.
I live 100 miles west of Chicago, and that's not going to happen in my city Walmart.
Don't get too excited, this is WALMART and even though they talk a good game they struggle just getting online orders processed.

In my area, Wal-Mart contracts with GrubHub to make their store deliveries.

@PickyPicky3    The $49. offer.  Is it for groceries too?

@Kachina624   I believe it is, although my last name isn't Walton.

My only concern is in the last few months, my closest Walmart Superstore has dropped many of my regular grocery items. I must order from other Walmarts that are 4 or 8 miles farther away. Would they be able to get drivers to deliver at a greater distance?

****I called the more distant Walmart and asked this question. They said no problem, they get drivers for 15-20 miles every day. They also said the returns pickup program is up and running.
