Anyone use this service?  I am thinking of trying it since they don’t have any upcharge for grocery items.

Re: Walmart grocery delivery

I used this for an order for my parents before the pandemic. I had only used pickup before that and loved it. They had no problems but I'm not sure how busy they are right now. I noticed they were promoting it on their page lately.

The annual fee is like the instacart fee.  I really hate the upcharges on food from instacart and Walmart doesn’t do this.  I’m thinking about a trial.  The negative is the store isn’t very close to me.

I've been using Walmart grocery pickup for the last few months.  You choose a day/time and they load your order into your car.  I'm happy with this service.  Very convenient and they have good prices.  No service charge for orders of $30 or more.

Walmart hasn't resumed delivery service here but I had a terrible time with the produce they picked out. I use Instacart exclusively now.

@GenXmuse   My store picks the produce for my pick up orders from the "back room" not from the floor.  It's much nicer than what I see on display.  I wouldn't pay Instacart fees plus they charge a state sales tax due to quirk in the tax law.  Normally we don't have tax on food, so that's 8% more on the bill.  When I had a complaint, I called and talked to the picker supervisor.

@GenXmuse  I think it must be the individual store instructions from management. My produce is always excellent from them. My regular grocery store was booked up weeks in advance and Walmart has been great but I have heard complaints from other stores.

Re: Walmart grocery delivery

Long before Covid, my DIL has used for years.  It is a godsend if you have a bunch of little kids and easy to place order and then appt. time for pick up.  Only complaint I have heard from her recently is appt. times have stretched out a couple of weeks.  Thats OK if you are getting staples.   Also they have shortages just like everyone.

When all this is over, she will still be getting groceries there.

Re: Walmart grocery delivery

I have used WM delivery for several months now.  I don't have any issues with the service.  The item picker is not the delivery person.  They are on time and friendly.

I can't pick anything up heavy, so I have them place the groceries right inside the front door. Then I can distribute the goods to their storage location...pantry, fridge etc.   I really do appreciate the service!!!  Once in a while they substitute an item or an item will not be available, but over all, I get what I ordered.

Re: Walmart grocery delivery

Walmart does not have a delivery service.  Haven't had one for a long time.  Just the pick up service. Even then, some of the food is for inside the store only.   The store is not that clean too.  I rarely went there. Amazon Fresh is still  jammed up. Impossible to get a slot in my area. So I joined Instacart.  I joined Instacart Express too. Put my list together the night before and order early in the morning.  I have the  food delivered before noon.  Can't beat the convenience. I do this weekly now.
