Wow, just wow.

I usually agree with what you post, however, your comments were a bit nasty, condescending and harsh.

NO need to call names.

I find your Dinosaur and ignorant references VERY offensive.  I'm not that old...yet.

Just because others do NOT agree with your point of view, does NOT make us ill-informed.

We will have to agree to TOTALLY disagree on this issue.

@RespectLife agreed. My tone was exactly as you describe and I am sorry. We can agree to disagree.

I wonder what "genius" thought this up...WE REUSE those BAGS for trash, dog poop, and a bunch of other things...

So if WE have to BUY more bags...WHO IS THE WINNER?????

The S T O R E, of course...    Meanwhile, the "environment" still has "bags"...

I agree. I reuse them for cat littler or recycling cans and bottles.

The point is they eventually make it to the landfill so they need to reduce the number they put in circulation--yes for the environment. The bags you purchase can be biodigradable, these are not.

Meanwhile the politicos and celebs fly in private jets and limos.....or one flew 2 hours to France to pickup an environmental award.....do as I say, but not as I do....And no plans how to dispose of the "windmills" or solar panels that have used up their lifespan....Then there's the disposal of the electric car batteries,  cell phone/computer batteries etc etc which can impact landfil and water supplies...The 5G phones put a strain on electric grids.....Building new buildings create higher temperatures and thus more ozone issues....So the plastic bags are the least of the environmental problems......🙄

Well said @Spurt

I urge people to check research from unbiased Scientists and thoroughly researched facts.  And check out the results on  what happened when Germany decided to "go green"...this is a lesson in REALITY instead of so called "journalists" on low rated networks and biase7d unfactual reporting. The American people cannot afford expensive green experiments like Europe tried

Nonetheless, discontinuing the use of plastic shopping bags is not going to lead our country to economic collapse.  I don't understand those who are too obstinate to adapt.

I do use recyclable bags but throw them away....since if you don't wash them they could become a health hazard....Im concerned about trading one set of problems for another. There was a news story about a kid on a baseball team that contracted semionella no other kids on the team got sick ate the same pizza at a restaurant after a game...after an investigation found the culprit was Not  the restaurant or pizza ingredients but a recyclable bag in his parents home full of bacteria ....just an FYI folks

I don't think we need to continue to destroy the planet because people are too careless to use soap and water.

Yes just like covid, good sanitary health practices and washing hands, but the water temperature must be 149F to kill bacteria in these recyclable bags. We shouldn't litter, and clean oceans and streams from litter too,  we should plant more trees, Zoning Commissioners should be careful in making sure they DONT create congested traffic areas and ozone issues by approving building too much in small areas much, do more parks, and what about all these added floral and fruit scents in soaps, detergents, and products used in dryers to make clothes "smell good"---think of the chemicals released into the air, and in fabrics and on the skin--- this can't be good--- personally I'd ban this qwqp... YEP, there's lots of little things that can be done to help the environment
