Could you please tell us a little more about this? Where did you read it? I understand that SNAP and Medicaid are low income benefits, but then you also said Social Security, which many of us receive - not tied to low income. When I went to Walmart's website, it just offers me $12.95/month or $98/year. I feel as if something's missing here.
It is called Walmart + Assist. It just started today. walmart.com /plus/assist
@elated @This is where I went but I can't find anything about it including Paramont+ or SS.

I too get my subscription through Amex but I drive for them as well and it's offered as a reward after certain metrics are achieved

@Kachina624 Driver dumped your items at your front door? Did he/she ring your bell or knocked on your door?
No tipping involved w/this + service?

she is not a driver.
not sure which bank it is through, but they offered her some perks if she got the amex card through them and that was one of the perks.

@Mindy D I am in New Jersey & this is what I found on my local Walmart site.....
The following I found strange......
Apparently in N.J. you can get a discount if you are on EBT (SNAP/food stamps) but can't pay for your food w/it in N.J. How odd.
I found no mention of SS. It's possible it' only allowed in certain states like paying for your food w/EBT.

@Desertdi With Walmart+ you can get a 30 day trial of "In Home" where a Walmart employee delivers your groceries and puts them away. It's not clear before signing up how else they might help you.
Right now I wouldn't need this service, but we never know what the future might bring.

The only thing keeping me from having a Wal-Mart Plus subscription is the cost of weekly tips. I've read an acceptable amount is 15% of the total bill. That would add up fast. WM's only a little over a mile from my house, so I continue to go there for grocery pick-up.

Do you have any other details? I don't find anything about the price change on the website. I signed up for Paramount a while back.

There were places that refused to take American Express card though I don't know the reason. Is that still an issue? I've always had Visa or Mastercard, so I don't know how Amex works.

@Ainhisg : I live in Georgia and have Walmart+. On my website the recommended tip is 10 % of the order.
I am handicap and use a standup walker and this service is a necessity for me . I try to plan ahead and if my order is big and include a lot of heavy items , I will increase the tip.
I called and talked to someone in the corporate office to suggest some changes. If you use a Walmart gift card for your order then you can't include your tip on the gift card. There is no way with the same order to switch back to a debit card to add the tip. I don't always have extra change and don't have extra money in the house.
DH usually gives me Walmart gift cards to shop on line and this helps when I chose the shipping option instead of delivery. With the WM+ = no shipping fee.
