Re: Walmart + Subscription

[ Edited ]

Walmart+ Assist is a program where eligible customers are able to join Walmart+ at a discounted rate. This program is offered to anyone who qualifies for government assistance programs and can offer sufficient documents to prove their eligibility. Eligible programs include SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, SSI, TANF, TTANF, NSLP and LIHEAP.

It does not say Social Security. That would be very nice if it did.

@PickyPicky3.  I guess I was lucky but mine went flawlessly.  I signed up for an 11am-noon delivery and my order arrived at 11:05am.  Everything I ordered was there.  Never saw the driver.

I have SIX (6) Walmart stores within easy driving distance.    Maybe they should change the name of this city to "Walnix"...

Obviously, I am missing something here.

I shop at Walmart because my prescriptions are filled there, and I always need something when I go there.  It's a bit of a jaunt, so I rarely go more than once a month.

I have never seen anything about a membership in the store.  Why would I pay any membership if I can shop by just walking in and selecting what I want?

@Desertdi   My closest store, a supercenter, is less than a mile, but somehow grocery pickup has always been a hassle so I jumped at the delivery option.

@Tinkrbl44    The offer was for free delivery of stores and warehouse items for a year with no minimum.  If I'm baking and need a bottle of vanilla, they'll bring it to.me.

@Kachina624    My kitchen is at the very BACK of this house.   First time ever that I've lived in a place where the kitchen wasn't in front.

It's a real pain in the *** dragging the groceries in, especially since it's a dog-leg path down two hallways.   (Maybe that's why this place was a "bargain" !!!!)   di

It does state Social Security on the article I read. The Bentonville, Arkansas based retailer said the Walmart + service will cost $49 a year or $6.47 per month for those on Medicaid, Social Security, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (commonly known as food stamps) or other programs.

@elated @Hi elated. Where can I find the article you read. My post comes from the WM website and maybe they have not updated their site. Thanks.
