I got a small grocery delivery this afternoon.   The skipped my milk and apparently didn't have an egg in the store.

I've always avoided presentations on QVC for bone broth.  It sounds revolting.   So guess what I got?  Two BIG  bottle about a quarter each of bone broth.

I left it outside hoping someone will steal it.

Was anything in the order correct, @Kachina624?

@Kachina624,

Double ick! I would be so grossed out.

I've found with the Walmart deliveries that sometimes they seem to not have the most ordinary things or things that I have seen in the store all the time. Or they didn't have the one thing that I really needed.

Still it's nice to have it when you want it even though it doesn't always work out 100%.

Make sure to get credit for that awful stuff if they charged you.

For me at least 90% of the time my order is correct but my last one wasn't.  I am sure someone is wondering where their taco fixings are for dinner ,............

I'd never not go buy my own stuff.

Only way I would use that service is if I was recuperating from surgery or was incapacitated.

I'm too independent and don't trust others to do anything right.

@Kachina624 if you have a dog or knows someone who does, they will love bone broth on their food.

@Kachina624  When I order groceries, I order 2 half-gallons of milk and make sure they are 2 different brands. Once in a while, I'd receive milk with an expiration date just a couple days away. Getting 2 different brands seems to have solved that. If one is dated too soon, the other brand has a later date. In your area, maybe 1 would be in stock if the other brand isn't.

Maybe ordering 2 different brands of eggs would work. If one brand is out of stock, the other brand might be in. And eggs last a long time if you receive both.

The other thing I noticed here is that there are more items in stock in the middle of the week, perhaps because they had Monday to restock and aren't sold out yet like on the weekend. Idk. lol

Grrr. I want ALL the stuff I order please! It's the pits when they screw up. Thankfully it doesn't happen much for all my orders, but when it does it's always a doozy.

The last mixup was actually not them leaving something off my order, but delivering something I didn't order in with my stuff.

My DH was talking to the delivery guy and noticed there was a kit to wall mount a TV included. The conversation went like this:

"Oh hey, this isn't ours, all our TV's are already in place. We didn't order that"

"Well this is yours"

"I'm 1000% sure this is not meant for us"

"Well this is yours"

"Why is it marked with someone else's last name?"

"Well this is yours"

DH threw up his hands. I had to call WM and explain and they said "Well that's not yours(!)"

BUT they told me to keep it. I don't know how they make any $!

I don't need it and didn't order it - maybe I should be like @Kachina624  and leave it outside for someone to take LOL.

Re: Walmart Delivery

[ Edited ]

I have used Amazon Fresh for delivery for several years and I could not be more pleased. A rare error is usually quickly resolved with a refund or re-delivery. I know when I order if any of the requested items are out of stock and can indicate if I would accept a substitute. The fresh food (fruit and veg's) is of excellent quality and the service is prompt and efficient with email notice of impending  delivery time within the two hour requested delivery window.

My only complaint is that I requested that bags be no heavier that 11 pounds and I often get bags heavier than that, which makes it difficult for me to carry them in from the porch. I try to be at the door when the delivery is made (they don't knock, per policy) and ask the delivery person to set the bags inside the door. They cheerfully do it.

A very reasonable and optional tip amount, depending on order size, is included in the online ordering process. I thought I might try another service some time, which carries some different items but -- after reading this forum, it will not be Walmart.
