Aprons are cute, I just never have worn them.

Re: WHY NO APRONS??

[ Edited ]

Todays young women are totally unfamiliar with aprons.  My mom gave her two granddaughters Christmas aprons one year thinking they enjoy something festive as they prepared the feast.  They pretty much ridiculed them; mom was very hurt.  I could have smacked them both.

I always save my old quilted mattress pads and make potholders/mitts out of them.

Aprons sure save on the amount of laundry you have to do.

I never thought about it.  Two ladies, sisters I think, make aprons and sell them at the Farmer's Market in out town.  I've bought them for gifts over the years and I have two myself.  I've been known to use one of hubby's old shirts as an apron too.

I would imagine that aprons would not only be a pretty narrow market, as you need to sell at least tens of thousands of any given item to pay for presenting it with the costs associated with doing live tv, but also a fairly low profit margin type of item.

i recently picked up some cute ones at THE FRESH MARKET......it has a garden tomato on it and it says "FEELIN GOOD FROM MY HEAD TO MAH TOES." lol

i have also found some nice ones on ETSY.

a few years ago isaac mizrahi had some on qvc. they were a cute print and came in a recipe box that matched. i bought several of them, including one for myself, to give as teacher gifts.

I'd google chef's aprons.  You probably have some kitchen supply store in your location.

Some of the nicer markets carry nice aprons.  I just thumbed through a selection today at the newly remodeled store near me.

QVC's kitchen shows always show the host with an apron of some sort.  I look often in the B&M stores for a good coverage apron like the ones on the kitchen shows, but don't seem to find anything.

Today (on Q2)  the host is wearing a pretty floral apron.  I would love to find something like this on QVC, but nothing.  I would like to have more than one in either different colors or patterns. Tired of having to chase down a towel or wipe my hands on my jeans.  I know that at one time QVC offered ITKWD aprons, but I don't want that and didn't buy. I just want something plain, pretty and washable.

@Perkup

You obviously haven't checked Ebay.  I just did a search with the word Apron, All Categories, and there are over 54,000 active auctions.    I bet you could get some really nice ones for a song!
