I got the impression you had already tried a tester of WS in a department store.    You must be lucky with fragrances.   Most I try "change" on me after the dry down.

No, I can't find it around here.  I had to order it online.  Keeping my fingers crossed.  It was a big investment even if I don't care for it.

@Spinach30,  That fragrance takes me back to my childhood when I would purchase for my mother at Christmas.  However, there are some fragrances that stand the test of time and White Shoulders is one of them.  Walgreens sells it and maybe they have a tester you can sample.  I recently discovered a new fragrance that is so lovely by Jo Malone.  Blackberry and Bay.  When I put it on, I keep smelling my wrists and hands.  It's on the fruit side according to Jo's chart but I tend to like the fruity scents.  This one is special.
