I wore it for a couple of years back when I was in my early 20's in the early to mid 80's. I loved it and never once thought of it being for older women. Classics never go out of style.

Years ago this used to be my fragrance I thought it was such a pretty fragrance.

Just wondering why you stopped wearing it? I loved and wore Obsession until they messed with the formula and I never bought it again! :-(

You can also purchase through amazon and walmart online and is much cheaper then the Vermont Store that also is incorrect in their copy of the origin for this perfume and est. they said 1932.. It was never made in France like they say. It is American and was introduced in the 1940's to show that good quality perfume could be produced here in the States.

It's a lovely, beautiful, and feminine fragrance. I wear it. It's a classic and timeless. Males enjoy it more than females as they ask and comment about its scent and how much they find it appealing.

'Gee', I had totally forgotten about White Shoulders. It was/is a very soft fragrance. I'm going to test it at a local dept. store, just to find out whether or not it agrees with me. Hopefully, they haven't changed the scent/ingredients. 'It would be nice'............

It was the first fragrance my Dad allowed me to actually "own". I used to sneak into other family members' fragrances, but this was the first for just me. That was in the late 40's. I think every girl in my high school wore the same fragrance. It was lovely then, and still is. First hubby (passed years ago) bought me a huge bottle, which I suspect will still be around when I'm gone. So on to the next generation.

White Shoulders was my first perfume of choice back in the 70s. I can't tell you how many men complimented me on how good I smelled, so that was definitely incentive to keep wearing it! I eventually got tired of it or my allergies took over and I stopped wearing perfume, but it was always my favorite fragrance.

This fragrance brings back such good memories. My grandmother wore this and had a pretty powder with powderpuff that I always loved to smell and dust my pre-pubescent décolleté with. Lol. She died rather young and I bought a bottle to remind me of her.

I, too, wore White Shoulders in my 20's and early 30's. LOVED it! For some reason I stopped wearing it (maybe that was when I started wearing Chloe, another favorite).
Anyway, I tried it several years ago again and it was not the same at all. I then read that it wasn't made the same way anymore, that the essential oils used were too costly and now they use synthetics. And that that's true for many of the classic fragrances.
So, I wonder if what you can buy on Amazon (or anywhere) is the White Shoulders I remember.
