There would never be leftover gravy at our house. My husband would sop up every last drop with a piece of bread. He's been know to eat a gravy sandwich.

LOL ... funny story. ![]()
Seriously ..... Left over gravy can always be frozen into small "cubes" and thrown into the next batch of home made soup, adding more flavor to the broth.

@mousiegirl Why would your DH be different than many others! My husband has done similar things. š Isn't that one of the reasons we love them?š

@Tinkrbl44 Interesting. I put pesto in several types of soups I make, but I can see how gravy could work in a stew or some other soup.

In my house growing up gravy was considered a beverageš¤£. Leftover gravy? Not possible! At least he found it, my DH canāt find anything. Anywhere. Anytime. At all.

@SCshopper2 DH is the same way, says he looked for something but couldn't find it, every time! He will open the frig, stare, and if the item doesn't jump out and hit him in the face, he says he couldn't find it.

My husband also cannot find anything in the pantry or refrigerator! If itās an item in the pantry, I can tell him what shelf, and whether itās on the left or right, or in the center, and even that doesnāt guarantee he will find it.
It really annoys me when he canāt find stuff in the refrigerator, since he is the one who cleans up after our meals and puts the food away. Once he puts food in a bowl and covers it, he totally forgets about it.
My husband is often with me at the grocery store, and Iāve been shown over and over again how clueless he is about the brands I buy, with what he grabs off the shelf and puts in the cart.

That reminds me of my husband. He can never find the steak knives although they have lived in the same spot in the same drawer for 40 years. He opens 3 drawers before he finds them. One day I am going to put 1 into each drawer and bingo - found it on the first shot.
