Walked Fur-Baby: Went 4-miles today.

Thompson Water Seal: I decided to purchase a color rather than clear. I purchased semi-translucent cedar. I'm not too sure whether I like the color - looks a little too orange for my liking. I think perhaps I should of got a darker walnut color that would of matched my hose mobile, deck boxes, garbage can, etc. Oh well I guess I'll learn to like it as you have to wait about a year, or until water no longer beads up, before I could put on another coat in a different color. My new way of thinking is not to worry too much about what can't be changed - it is what it is.

Men Putting a New Roof on House: While I was putting the Thompson Water Seal on the ramp of the shed I could see 3 men about a block from me putting a new roof on a house. I was hot and exhausted after working in the heat for about an hour. They've been working all day on the hot roof. I don't know how they do it!

Watering: Watering flowers, grass seeds, etc. No rain in the forecast until the weekend and it's only about a 40% chance. Oh my, it looks like it's going to be another dry summer as the weatherman said we're far behind already in rainfall totals.

Received Amish Basket: I purchased online a corner basket that is custom made to use in the kitchen to place miscellaneous items in it. It looks very nice.

Received HSN Order: Purchased a HSN TSV about a week ago. Hue brand crop jeans. I thought the price was good (about $28) and they fit and look really nice. Was thinking of ordering another pair but their sold out in my size.

Went to Bank: I exchanged a few hundred dollar bills for smaller bills to use to pay my landscaper. The teller said that I must be going on vacation and the man behind me said I must be planning on playing poker. I guess not many people use regular paper money as it seemed from their comments like I was doing something out of the ordinary.

@BunSnoop I go to the bank to pull out money to use for grocery shopping as I don't like using debit or credit card these days. Also, I pay my gardener in cash once a month.

By the way I had never heard of Simple Green but am going to Home Depot to buy some..

I have been sifting through here and there and just wanted to say it's nice to see this thread doing so well and seeing a few "newbies" joining.

Just taking one day at a time, settled in my new place, and (heh) DH will be taken to see Dr. 🔥soon about the neurostimulator. Always something to look forward to.

Keeping good thoughts for everyone. I notice some are missing and sending positive thoughts they are doing well.

Today I took the day off from working in my yard. For several days in a row I have moved a few plants, put down mulch, when to the stone yard an got two buckets of stone for an area in the flower bed....and just tended to things in my yard and on Saturday worked at my stepdaughters house in her yard..I needed a break from yard work.

Tomorrow I will get back at it, I have a few things to do in my side yard. I am trying to make things a bit easier to take care of. I am 70 and can still do the work but making things easier is not a bad thing, right?

We bought a new battery operated lawn mower, and I have NEVER mowed the lawn but, since my husband still has issues with his back/legs I am going to give it a try. The mower seems to run fast even on the low setting so I am not sure how this will turn out!

Today.......... I turn 72!!! OMG---72!!!!!!😲 Am still upright and taking nourishment too. Nothing planned really--my DD and I will go out for a meal, my choice and then DS is doing the same this coming weekend. Was pretty traumatic when I turned 70--had a hard time with that number but have managed to just chill over it all----I'm so grown up!!!😁

Another beautiful day here. Temp is 72 and dewpoint is 43. Feels so good and everything is so green.

@Cakers3, good to see your post. I miss seeing some posters also and hope they are doing okay.

@BunSnoop, you are the busiest person I know. I'm sure keeping busy is therapeutic for you. Also, keeps you in good shape.

I have kept busy all week dusting and filling trash bags. We had a lot of boxes to break down this week. I also followed thru on a threat to trucker daughter about things in the basement she needed to go thru before I tossed. She did glance at them briefly which was good enough for me, and the bag is in the trash bin ready to go. When I'm in one of these moods, stuff has to go!
