I have  also walked this loney road  of life without my beloved since 1993  and  i still   have days  that i struggle 

As most of us know   that you  will always have a broken heart  and you hope will heal after a time  but it never completely heals. 💔

Its one day  at a time.

So far no snow here, leaves are still falling.

For all here who are dealing with lonliness and sadness I feel bad. Try to stay strong and try to think of some positive things like happy memories. I know it becomes harder to do this time of the year. Not everyone is experiencing joy.

I'm doing laundry today and making taco soup.

My friend made 1:30 reservations for Thanksgiving at a restaurant on the water. There will be four of us. I'm looking forward to it and hoping for good weather.

I am not sure about posting this promising news but it is not political.
A 3 billion grant approved by voters will establish the Dementia Prevention and Research Institute in Texas, the largest in the country.
AARP, Michael J.Fox Foundation, National Alzheimer's Foundation, and others have been urgently promoting this very important and hopeful work for Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia including dementia with Parkinson's, my DH'S condition.

Treatments, research, clinical trials, caregiver support, and hopefully a cure. Other programs included.

I have already signed on and while I am not sure where or what I will be
assigned right now I am doing this not just for DH but for all who have or have had loved ones in memory care and end stages of dementia.

Please 🙏 .

Thank all of you for your continued support and it looks like this is the path that has been waiting for me.

My husband is on a trial of a popular memory RX with no noticeable difference. In a few days he will be on the full dose so maybe 🤞 We are doing voice exercises several times a week.

Beautiful sunny day so I want to take a short drive to get a good hamburger for me and shrimp tacos for him 😋

i been doing all of my xmas shopping so many sales already in full swing i be so happy i am almost done

I am meeting up with a couple friends for lunch this noon time and then going to tour an apartment afterwards. Am planning on moving sometime in Jan so need to get to getting!!!

Yesterday, I went and had breakfast with one of my good girlfriends, the day before veterans day. She wanted to avoid the crowds, but then she tells me that she will be out all day today with another group of friends going to different food establishments. (LOL)

Afterwards, I will went to a Mexican grocery store that sales  Jamaica Hibiscus leaves that I like to make a tea from. Then I went and had a spa pedicure, and that was it for me on Monday.

Today, I plan on just taking it easy. I might run by the library to drop off a book in the slot, and then possibly grab some lunch to bring back home, and continue my day of relaxation.

Tomorrow it's back to work, right in time for a rain storm that will be coming in on Thursday. (Sigh)

Spent time on the phone with DH earlier. I'm not sure about these chills I am getting and a light cough. Ugh. Reminded him of Veterans Day but he didn't seem to respond to it. It's always been a quiet day for him

Called DS for Veterans Day too.

GS is due to come over tomorrow so I might put that off. I'm hoping it's just the weather with it being freezing at night and early morning then in the 80's in the afternoon.😯

I'll talk with DH later in the early evening again.

Hello friends. Today I had my blood work done for my upcoming "Wellness Check". I decided I wanted a cup of coffee afterrwards and the place I went to only serves beverages with protein (I didn't know that prior to going in). I went ahead and ordered a macchioto hot coffee and I had no idea what protein powder tasted like. Wow, it sure wasn't for me. I drank it since I had paid $5.50, but will never do that again! Then I went to grocery store, library, and hardware store. Glad to be home.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what clothes to take with me for my trip to the south for Thanksgiving.  My older son and I will be taking the train (Amtrak), so I won't be taking as much as I would were we driving.  We've reserved a "Roomette," so this should be fun ... it'll take about twelve-thirteen hours overnight, with dinner served on the train ... yea!

I purchased the Barefoot Dreams top and pants set that was a TSV a little while ago; and I have some IM fleece sets that I haven't worn ... just have to figure out where they are.  The long range weather indicates that the temps will be in the mid to upper 60s.   

My youngest son and DIL have started a farm ... goats and chickens; and grow their own vegetables ... I don't know what they do with the goats, but they know not to serve any while we're there.  I'm having a smoked turkey and brisket of beef shipped for the occassion.  My DIL is a "southern girl" from New Orleans so I know she'll be preparing gumbo and other Louisiana goodies.
