hello all

not much going on today.

dh is helping out DD shuffling around kids he will be helping her out till 8pm.

hung up the new curtains the cleaners hemmed for me. They did a wonderful job. So pleased.

not much else. Will check in later.

I recently bought 2 pairs of long drapes from Ballards Design's and decided to take them to the cleaners to be pressed...what a difference that made in the looks of the drapes.

Hi everyone... again, I'll say I'm not here too often ,due to my move and getting settled on the other coast!

I read that @ShowMe posted about buying something from the Vermont Country Store. Well, I actually made a road trip there a few days ago! It's almost a two hour drive from where I live, but a very nice drive and the store was so much fun to visit! Got things for me, as well as gifts for family

I know in the past, this was the type of thing I'd post about to @ShowMe and she would respond and be interested and want to know more details. It was always so great to chat with her. Such a good listener and interested in all the small things that mean so much to all of us

Well ok, @croemer 😊

They have two stores in Vermont. I went to the one in Rockingham. It was on the side of a somewhat rural road but with ample parking, which was already quite filled up in the morning, on a weekday

the store is just jam packed with merchandise...so many different categories. I made at least two rounds through the store, trying to take it all in. Bought things from many departments, including holiday, clothing, beauty, food (candy...omg!), home items and more.

There didn't seem to be any place to eat nearby ( that I saw on my way in) but they had cold food items ( salads and sandwiches) for sale as well as a hot foods counter where you can order food like burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, soups. So I got something to eat there. I might have stayed longer but it was snowing lightly and I'm new to this kind of weather. Wanted to get on the road in case it got heavier.

I'll definitely go back again!
