A lovely wedding indeed! I thought Meghan's dress was the perfect choice for her. Elegant and timeless. The veil was beautiful. But boy, some of those hats, geesh.

I was disappointed to see Kate with her head down through the entire ceremony. Prince Charles did a wonderful job of welcoming Doria and walking Meghan down the aisle.

I totally agree about Prince Charles.  He seemed so welcoming, nice and kind.  I couldn't understand what Kate was doing with her head down.  Of course she does have a new born, she could have been texting or something regarding the baby.

Kate may have been trying to avoid having her face photographed as she knew the cameras would also be on her. Looking down may have been out of respect for Meghan, who should of course, be the star of the show.

I enjoyed the fact that they did it their way and had a modern, beautiful wedding. Meghan wore what she wanted to and seemed to forgo what was "expected." I think she is her own person and that's what I have always liked about her.

As usual Oprah's dress is too tight and therefore not flattering at all.  Don't know why she does this.

I am not sure why but Meghan evoked a feeling of Sleeping Beauty/ Princess Aurora to me.

Re: WEDDING DAY

[ Edited ]

I recorded the event on ABC and NBC but chose to watch the NBC edition.  Loved every sparkling moment of it!

Loved the gown!  Perfect in my estimation.  Elegant, classic with a timeless look   It went so well with her tiara and veil.  Meghan was gorgeous!

Was blown away by the ethereal music/singing during her entrance.

Enjoyed all aspects.  The Rev. Curry brought in the wind of change but he should have spoken a bit less, IMHO.  Would have been more effective had his remarks been briefer. (No one knows more than I that everyone needs a good editor.)   Still, his contribution was eloquent and invaluable.

Was surprised and delighted by unexpected choreographed move executed by the choir singing "Stand by Me."  Ben E. King would have been proud.

Meghan certainly has already mastered a controlled way of waving to the crowds.

They are such a magnificent couple to usher in a new era.

I wish them a long and happy life!

Oprah fancies herself as some kind of socialite. Frankly, I've never been impressed by her. I think she's lost touch with the middle and lower class. I see her going to galas and high browed affairs all the time. She is there because she is "Oprah" that's why she is there. Her ego is unappealing to me.

Ita...I don't get it either...!

I love the boatneck top of the dress.  It displays her respect as well as her taste.
