He was not mentally ill. He said why he did it in his manifesto. Payback for Charleston.

Reports say he had a history with the woman he killed. It seems to have been a targeted attack.

Hi Chickenbutt, Your posting has affected me very deeply. I don't know your story, only that you live your life in a great deal of pain. Whatever you have done in the past for help and whatever you are doing now, please, please don't give up. There's got to be help for you somewhere out there. If depression runs in your family, it is actually a physical illness in that there can be a chemical imbalance in a person's brain that is not their fault. Keep trying, as there are new meds always coming out. I've followed your posts. You are a good person. Your life is worth fighting for. I care about you, as do many other posters in this little community. May God bless you!

When you have a disgruntled employee who feels he/she is being treated unfairly, the supervisor of that employee should direct them to Human Resources, listen to their concerns and would recommend that employee be submitted into a employee assistance program under the management of Labor Relations. Proper grievance procedures should be in place to prevent these kinds of tragedies. The campus police or company security with police powers should also be informed and placed on standby.
