there are lots of seltzer vodka iced teas on the market.
it is definitely NOT anything new.
we happen to love the SURFSIDES and DEEP EDDY.
they are very popular "beach drinks."

@UpNorthGorgy , @Toppers3 , and @Goodie2shoes - I'm not much of a drinker, but ice tea, particularly sweet tea is my drink of choice.
Years ago DH, DD, and I went to the city. DD was about 3. It was a really hot day, and we spent it at the zoo and walking around.
We found a Spaghetti Warehouse when it was time for dinner. I looked at the menu, and apparently without paying much attention and never having heard of it, ordered a Long Island Ice Tea. When it came I was so thirsty I chugged it. It tasted really good. I sat there waiting to eat and feeling woozy. When our food came I took a few bites, then spent most of the night in the ladies' room. I felt so dizzy.
I kept trying to come back to the table. DH thought I had heat exhaustion. Finally our server told DH the "tea" was alcoholic.
I took my food home, and to this day when I see it on a menu we laugh. ![]()
I don't drink soda either, unless I'm sick. But I recently tried the new Sprite Tea. I love it! It has no sugar and no caffeine. But I'll only drink it on special occasions - maybe! ![]()

I had a similar naive encounter with a Long Island Iced Tea. Practically had to be carried home. Never again.
Tonight I broke out the lemonade and brewed some real iced tea. Inspired by this thread I mixed an Arnold Palmer with loads of ice. Mmmm.... Perfectly wonderful for a sweltering night in front of the fan.

Been around for ages. Vodka is sweet. One reason for it's popularity. I haven't drunk that. Most of my iced tea is non alcoholic.

Vodka and Rita's Water Ice!

Singapore Sling and 'Cuba Libra' (?) (or something similar).
Those two cocktails 'strike a bell' in my memory.

Another was Sloe Gin Fizz.
I'm trying to recall the name of a foamy, milky cocktail containing either a coffee or chocolate flavor. Very popular, as I recall.
