How is it beneficial at all for QVC to have Viewpoints?

I can understand the other forums like beauty and fashion, kitchen, etc. because you can buy items from QVC related to those topics and discuss purchases.

I don't see any benefit to Viewpoints for them.

Hey LD, here's my VP, the outcome of Saturday's game was awesome and it was freezing cold.

Don't blame the moderators. Blame the posters who get their jollies from ""reporting"" other posters.

Sad that it's come to this. At one time, there would be pages and pages of new threads - even overnights. It's just a series of events that have made this place not the hustling and bustling place it once was. I think if more topics would be allowed and less poofing, it would draw people back. I still say as long as they have traffic to the site, they will keep the forums going.

Since when is stating the truth a ""temper tantrum""? Just expressing my ""viewpoint"" on a forum of the same name.

I have had the exact same thought. The only answer I came up with is that it keeps people on the site, and while waiting for answers to posts, they might look at the merchandise and shop (I know I often do!).

I agree. They could just go back to deleting the posts that they feel are instigating or personal attacks and let the actual discussion continue.

It's a bit of both I think.

Heavy handed removal of threads, posts and posters plus the reporting by other posters.

I disagree completely. The moderators have the upper hand and if they would carry out their duties correctly they would not delete a post or a thread just because it is being reported. The material should actually be reviewed first to determine if it truly is against board standards and if not it should be allowed to remain regardless of how many times it gets reported by stupid people! The moderators are totally at fault for not carrying out their jobs correctly.
