There is absolutely no proof you were reported and your post/thread poofed just because certain nic show up. Just because you see a nic of a poster you aren't fond of doesn't mean that poster reported you. ftlog

I think many of us have had posts disappear and we don't point fingers at a potential ""suspect"". It's one of the things that cause continuing disharmony around here.

Newsflash: You just are not that important. Neither am I.

Very well said.

I feel when threads go who cares just start something new. My mother would always say don't chew the same cabbage over and over again. I can't stand the threads about oh where did my thread go I was just gone for 5 seconds. There are other chat boards. People hosted other discussions when the Arias trial was going on.

On the thread yesterday, all posts that expressed a certain viewpoint were deleted. The rest of the thread was allowed to stand at first. The thread wasn't deleted in its entirety until posters questioned why only "their" posts were deleted. Only then was the thread deleted. It made one wonder "why."

exactly.

And what was even more interesting was the post that remained, considering the content of that post.

Could it have been a moderator's post? I'm fairly certain they're posting in the forums.

I could not care less about entire threads going. That is fair, but to only delete posts that express similar viewpoints is not, especially when the opinions expressed were not disrespecful at all.

The reason is, the people with whom you were disagreeing were pushing report on your posts. Thus, their posts remained until webbie got tired of it.

no, it was someone (a regular poster here) that seemed to think we were insulting something important to her, and in the process, insulted something MUCH larger than that. The topic and discussion was much larger than the focus she took.

I know, clear as mud.

But it was if you were there.
