while I happen to love the smell of regular Vick's, I do also use the lavender.  It's made for babies so it's not overpowering.  Those are the only 2 scents I have ever seen.

@nana59 I can't answer your question.  I have used original vicks on my feet and covered with socks when I'm congested.  It helps me to breathe and sleep better.  Please be exceedingly careful in the shower after doing so.  Feet will be slippery and you might fall.

Does your dermatologist agree?  Vick's might be irritating.

I've used it on my feet a lot, and it's my go-to when I have congestion.

Great to treat toenail fungus - something that my doctor mentioned when the prescription she gave me didn't do a thing for my toenail.  Vicks worked great.

You should try a dap of it on a tiny area of your skin and see what happens.

Use it as Alratiba does. It's good to keep heels soft. Daughter, flight attendant, puts a light smear on the inside of her mask. She has asthma and that helps open up her lungs.

@ALRATIBA, good advice. Vick's is the only thing that works for treating my congestion. I use it on my upper chest and a little in my nostrils. It's quick and works better than Musinex.

My mother was one of those that believed that Vicks was a cure all for pretty much everything!

If she thought it could heal a broken bone she would have told you to rub it with Vicks.

Is the Dr. referring to use on psoriatic toe nails or on skin lesions? Are the lesions on the top of the foot, the type you see in plaque psoriasis, or on the bottom of the foot, the type of lesions seen in pustular psoriasis. I do not have pustular, but I've tried Vick's for the other conditions and it did nothing. I tried for extended periods of time. Vick's also did not work for one toenail I have that has nail fungus and is psoriatic, or for other nails I have that are psoriatic.

Be careful regarding applying it to irritated, sensitive skin..........I don't know anything about it, but my intuition tells me to be careful.
