I lost a friend just before Christmas, I still can't believe it's true.  It is such a heart-breaking jolt, I think I'm still numb.  It's upsetting to say the least.

We need to remember the good times, and hope after a while it helps us with the pain.

My sincere condolences to you and all who have suffered this tragic loss.  I haven't lost any friends recently with whom I was that close.  I did lose my beloved sister five and a half years ago and will never get over that.  She had cancer, so it was a long good-bye.

My daughters, however, all middle-aged, have lost dozens of friends they went to school with, from heart issues, cancer, brain aneurisms, and suicide.  Much too young to die and so difficult to get over.  Most of these young people still had very young children.  It's so tragic.
