As a friend, the best you can do is just listen.
13 is way too young to date anyone, let alone a 19 yr old. Very sad situation.

Yes, with all the unkind remarks.

Nothing "mean" has been said.
The o/p asked for advice, and she's getting it.
Now, she may not like some of the responses, and feel as though she's being "picked on", but the reality of it is, she isn't.
But it also helps to keep in mind that this isn't the first time that the o/p has come here asking for advice.
She has done it many times.
Once recent (infamous) post was that the o/p didn't get a promotion that she felt that she deserved, and it went to a younger man, who has been with the company a shorter amount of time than she has been, and she was thinking of sueing the company for sexual discrimination.
Lots of good, decent people took time out of their lives to give her sound advice, which she poo-pooed.
So, there is a history there.
She has posted about words that her mother said reguarding men and sex "haunting her".
That thread too eventually went south.
So that might explain some of the responses that the o/p is getting.

You and the young lady should watch the movie Juno together. That might help.

Maybe the girls parents condoned their relationship, until she got pregnant. It will never happen to us. It has, and let them deal with it. Be supportive, and only give suggestions if they ask for it.

Your daughter is still your daughter and needs to know that you love her...unconditionally...and especially now.
Put yourself in your daughter's place for a moment!
The daughter probably feels terrible; she had to face her parents and tell them, knowing it would break their hearts!
Love her, love her and love her and let her know it....every day!
A baby is always a baby and babies deserve love...no matter how they were conceived.

This is not her daughter.
The o/p doesn't have any children.
She said that this is a "close family member".
