I wouldn't want their job, nor would I want someone for whom I care to do their job. It's hard physical labor.

Easy to sit behind a desk and complain that they're wanting paid too much. I believe they deserve what they're demanding.

Just as some feel they chose their job so they shouldn't complain, those in NC chose to live there, and some chose not to evacuate.

That comes across as pretty cold and heartless. Just sayin.

@ThinkingOutLoud  Read her post. She said believed the dock workers deserve what they are demanding.

The end of her post refers to other posters who have posted those very remarks during disasters.

She read her post about the dock workers and was referring to her NC remarks. Who cares what other posters have commented about during disasters, she didn't have to contribute. It was a cruel and unnecessary point. I don't get defending it.

Re: Update on Dock Workers Strike

In my younger days I worked blue collar, shift jobs 24/7/365. I missed many holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

All kinds of weather, hard hat and steel toe work boots. Learned to drive a 1 ton dump truck. I was happy to earn the $ I did.

Nobody here complains about the money their favorite Influencer makes. They're grifters of their sponsors. If they all disappeared, America's trucks wouldn't stop.

I'm glad for the contract that was offered to them. The Union Boss is paid by members union dues. If it seems high, do the math. He's getting less than $15 from each union member per year.

@elated  Yes, I get that for crying out loud. My response was in response to @ThinkingOutLoud  post which read as she was attributing the NC remarks as belonging to @occasionalrain .

It was a matter of not blaming a poster for those comments.

Now do you get it?🙄
