I only just heard of this fire spreading on the local news, then came online to find your situation. Shocked to read first hand information. 

The photos are so frightening. I hope it can be contained soon and that you and yours are safe.

It's a beautiful area with lots of wildlife. I hope they flee in the right direction and can escape.

@sabatini The direction of the fire is running parallel to where we are located. We are relatively safe. My son joins you in thinking we are nuts.

If we leave we will not have access to the scanner that gives us instant reporting. We have our vehicle loaded and are ready to walk out the door.
