Even the ones that appear to be for such things?  Suggestion Box and Customer Care?

I don't usually bother to read the posts since they are so repetitious, @monicakm, but I see that the threads are closed. 🤷‍♀️

There seems to be an epidemic of people with poor impulse control --- everywhere.  Those saying and doing whatever pops in their minds, with no consideration for the impact. It's a bad sign of our times.

The results can be emotionally damaging for a sensitive person. I've witnessed the damage, words alone, can do.

Sadly, I fear many being unkind, enjoy the emotional wounds they inflict. The social changes I'm seeing don't bode well for our future, as this seems to be escalating.

@monicakm IMO they want their 15 minutes of fame, well knowing they are violating the rules but hey, they get to see their gripe in print, no matter how mean it is. Sad for them.

i think there is a general frustration with presentations with lots of interrupting and extranious info(many times re: family) that product details are overlooked. Many of us are long time viewers and would like calmer presentations, like we get from veterans (MBR,JB,LW,PJD, and a couple of newer ones, too)

People feel they aren't being heard by the heads at QVC, or things would change or be modified. JMO

Re: Unkind to Our Hosts

[ Edited ]

@10sluvr   It is possible that there are many more people who want to hear about family and other personal info.

No matter what QVC does, not everyone will be happy.

It is what it is and I don't see it changing.  There seems to be a host or two for every preference.

Re: Unkind to Our Hosts

[ Edited ]

Along with host bashing, I am concerned about the irrelevant direct and indirect product bashing that appears ad nauseam, e.g. too  big for my room; color looked better on the model; already have too many can openers;  more than I can afford; don't need an outdoor door mat for an interior entry; already own eleven cardigans that I do not like; don't eat meat; have too many Beauty  products now that don't work .......along with many other non-productive comments about products.

While I agree that much of the host bashing is rude, I think that The Q would improve their sales by toning down those hosts and vendors who screech and flap like five year old's. As for the majority of hosts and vendors who behave like adults, with enthusiasm but without  the childish "pseudo-excitement" of bouncing up and down, screaming, and pumping in the air, more power and success to them! They are the kind of sales people who provide the information I need while deciding on a potential purchase. The others ..... well, I don't need to repeat what happens when they appear.

I think it's fine to voice displeasure with hosts' behavior, especially when they're loud, obnoxious, constantly interrupt, don't give product info, etc.  However, I think some watch in wait for a host to do or say any little petty thing, and pounce on them with criticism.

IMHO, I don't think the hosts are doing anything that the company disapproves. When QVC first aired the products were their main concern in moving them out the door. Now, it seems they think we need to be entertained with singing and dancing. I am sure some enjoy this change while others are scratching their heads wondering what is happening. I just want descriptions of the items so I know what I am purchasing. It is the main reason people watch to get accurate information.

So, in the end, does the customer loose or does QVC?? Time will tell if their way of doing business changes.
