Anyone heard of thid?  My daughter's high school guidance counselor recommened it for scholarships.  Started looking into it and they ask for her SSN.  Of course, not doing that.  Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of it or has had an experience with it?

Long ago colleges used SSN as student numbers.  But they stopped.  Odd that this would asked.

I agree.  A bit concerning because it came from her guidance counselor.

@ScrapHappy   That's very interesting.  From Unigo's own website........

"Many scholarships with no essay are from legit providers but you should be aware of scammers. Scammers ask for a fee, your banking, credit card or social security number so DON’T give these out."

"Never argue with a fool. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."

I don't have expirence with Unigo but it is required that a scholarship is reported as income.  Somewhere along the way a SSN would be needed but just applying seems too early.

Wish for only good things for your daughter, this is a hard and expensive journey.  Been there.

So, playing good grandma, I looked at the site.  Got weird vibes.

Feel free to ignore me please.

Know nothing about this Unigo. You might check out: mikeroweworks.org. He gives out a Million $$$ in Work Ethic Scholarships every year.

Very reputable!
