First week in January for indoors, weather dependent for outdoors, but again aim for the first week in January.

We didn't even put up a tree this year.

Re: Undecorate?

[ Edited ]

I normally take mine down after New Year's Day. This will be the third year I am leaving on vacation on the sixth and my decorations are very complicated. I change every room in the house and I don't want to come home to a mess so I will take them down when I get back.

Winter decor will go up next amd around the first of Feb I will add in some Valentines.

Normally it's New Year's weekend but that's morphed into ASAP after New Year's weekend since we started going away last year and will again this year. I'm guessing it'll happen the 2nd or 3rd.  We don't have too much to take down so it's done and back to normal within an hour or two.

The other day, one of our sons commented on the quantity of gnomes we had placed around the house. I told him he could take some but he turned me down.  A little while later he changed his mind. LOL. Now there's a little less to put away. 🤷‍♀️😁

I usually take down my decorations around New Years Day, sometimes the weekend after especially if we have been away for the holidays.

My tree and a few Christmas decorations will be removed this weekend. Snowmen and everything else will remain " out" for a while.  I will begin introducing Valentine's Day decor in late January.

I don't blame you - who needs a tree when you have such a cute "Willow" to enjoy and admire throughout the season! The best present who keeps on giving joy to your world Woman Very Happy

Plus lots of deer all around (just pretend they're the rein-kind LOL).

I don't take down my Christmas decorations down until Jan.8.  My husband is Russian Orthodox and we raised our boys Orthodox, so I leave everything up for Orthodox Christmas. It's not really that different for me because my Grandfather was Russian Orthodox and we always did that when I was growing up. January 7th is also our older sons birthday!🎄❤

We celebrate Epiphany, January 6. When the children were young we had a special dinner and talked about the Wise Men arriving at the manger. The trees (real) can come down after that and go under the bird feeders for the birds to enjoy for the winter. ❄️

Inside decorations change from Christmas to snowmen and winter.

Outside is pretty simple for us. DH will take the spotlight on the front door down, but the real wreath and the other greens will stay up throughout the winter, or until they start to turn brown. Usually that's the first part of March.

The window candles will also stay up throughout the winter. Smiley Happy
