Re: Undecorate?

[ Edited ]

I turn the OUTDOOR lights off after Jan 6.  I can take them down when the weather gets warmer.     My indoor CHILI LIGHTS stay on all year!!!!

I started yesterday putting Santas and red and green decorations away. I changed the look from Christmas to New year.  The tree will be down New Year's Day.

Usually right after January 1st but this year we took everything down yesterday, December 26. Everything is clean and ready for company from Houston if they can make it this weekend.

Usually, 3 days after Christmas.  I can't stand all of that work looking for me.

Umm, if you said "hey Google take down the Christmas decorations", she would have said, "okay taking down the Christmas decorations".  That's a lie. She would have said "I couldn't find Christmas decorations" (g)

It's a Christmas season for me, will enjoy it all for as long as I want to. Christmas decorations aren't "abnormal" to me, I really dislike when they're gone.

The Christmas season ends with the Feast of the Epiphany which falls on January 6.  Christmas isn't just the secular ho ho ho for us so we keep our decorations up until January 7.  Sometimes a little longer because I love how the house looks when it's decorated.

I start putting things away Jan. 2, but our nativity stays up through the Feast of the Epiphany.
