USPS Informed Delivery...Thank You, Kachina625

I want to thank you, Kachina624 for letting us know about Informed Delivery through USPS.  I signed up for it, and found out that there are 2 pieces of mail that I did not receive today.  Our post office is closed, now, but I intend to call first thing Monday morning. Thanks to your suggestion, I check this every day.....and can't thank you enough for posting the information on the forums.  I don't know if this is the correct board "Community Chat".....but I wanted to let you know how grateful I am for your suggestion a while back.

First - I want to correct a typo.  I meant Kachina624 - not Kachina625.

You can go to USPS and look for "Informed Delivery Daily Digest".  Once you sign up for it, they will let you know every day what mail delivery to expect for that day. There is a button beside each mail letter you were supposed to get.  If you didn't receive that piece of mail, you can click on the button to let USPS know.  I don't know how to post the link to it, because my computer skills are at a Kindergarten level.....but I will see what I can do help you.

@Carol08  I signed up for this a while ago, and there have been many days that I didn't get a couple of pieces of mail.  They always show up the next day.  I've never informed the post office about it, and they just show up.

you may not get all of the mail that it shows on the day you receive your email. it can possibly arrive the next day. it could have already even arrived the day before. i have never informed the post office.

i also receive notifications for other family members, not just my own.

You are welcome, Goody1219.  With the holidays upon us, it is good to have a backup system with USPS.
