Yesterday I had several phone calls from Apple, plus one this morning. It's a recording asking you to stay on the line for an Apple rep. You're told that one of your Apple products has had its security breached. Mine was supposed to be a man in Russia who was attempting to get my photos in my ipad...which consist mainly of my dog, flowers and just junk. The voice has a heavy accent. They want to help you be rid of the hackers on your computer by remote access. I hung up and called Apple Service and they said it was a scam and that they would have probably asked for money. Apple doesn't call, please be careful. 'Tis the season for the crooks to come out of the woodwork!

Yes, they called about 10 times in one day last week. I had read on these forums about it so I was prepared. I don't answer the phone anyway unless I am sure who it is.

I'm like you, I don't answer most of the time either. I missed the post here, I wouldn't have posted it had I known someone else did earlier. Thank you for telling me.

I get these almost daily for Microsoft....yesterday a man with a strong accent( probably Nigerian😄). Told me his name was Elvis(😄🤣😂😅). And there  was a virus in my computer Bla Bla Bla...

I said to him.  "Elvis?! OMG! I thought Elvis was dead!"  He said "no, not that Elvis"

I said "Oh Darn!"   And hung up on him.

Actually it is fun to play along with these idiots.  One fellow cursed  me out with the F bomb.  They are really very rude and obnoxious phone people. I am sure that they get hung up on all day. Can not believe it that  anyone falls for their scam.

it's best not to answer the phone for these calls, they know your number is viable
