I should have mentioned ... I tried a new beer.

It's called Shock Top ...Belgian White.

It says on the can:  Belgian-style wheat ale brewed with citrus peels and coriander.  Quite good ...

@ALRATIBA

I spent a lot of time in Manhattan during my career, so I get it. One time when my husband had gone to NY with me, I was working in the company condo and my husband was watching a movie. I ran out and around the corner to the little grocery store and grabbed a bag of popcorn to share and the two bottles of beer my husband wanted. I was standing in line to pay when the guy in front of me turned around, saw my meager purchases, and said drily, “Big night, eh?” I am still chuckling about that.

@ALRATIBA

Two slices, no beer, just fizzy water.

I’ll have the cake for dinner, with a glass of milk.

Hope you enjoy! 😉

@ALRATIBA A team of wild horses couldn’t drag me into Manhattan when the UN is in session. Best of luck! Enjoy the Pizza.

Nothing exciting ... just a bit of trivia.

I've been out for hours up to docs on "Madison Ave.", and traffic is just awful.  UN is in session and everything on the East Side slows to a crawl.... so I just got home.  Stopped at the deli and picked up two slices and a beer for a late lunch.

Hot dogs and beans/cole slaw for supper!   Devils food cake for dessert!

Sounds like fun food!  After the stressful day, you needed to relax and enjoy!!!

I worked across the street from the UN (809 UN Plaza) in the mid 80's the world was a little saner but the UN was still nuts this time of year. I was actually frozen in the deli next door to my office building while the President Regan's Motorcade moved about
