@gidgetgh I am so happy #1 is over for you and that they changed protocol for #2!!  Hoping that's for us Monday too.  Wonder if that dizziness was from your scenic tour to JIm Miller, they sure put things a longgggggggggggggg way from us don't they?  Could be anticipation?  Just watch yourself now!!

@Suziepeach - I think it was partly a little anxiety, relief and the actual vaccine going through the body.  Again, not major and it passed very quickly. But they do have a doctor and health dept worker walking through the parked cars constantly to check on everyone.

I rarely, very rarely, go over to West Cobb or even to the square. I like my area and I'm a Roswell, Alpharetta, Sandy Springs girl.  Much more familiar. Thankful for GPS.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Well then you had an adventure today @gidgetgh ... I do believe from where we are it's about 17 almost 18 miles away but golly that area has changed so much over there.   We aren't far from Roswell but it seems it in traffic, LOL ..  Yes ma'am thankful for GPS!

Sounds like they've got it kinda together with the vaccine and glad you are okey dokey!!

Re: Trying to find the Covid vaccine

@gidgetgh    Good to hear that all went well for you today. Is it your understanding that they are going to set up appointments for all you received their first dose at Jim Miller? Or do you think they meant that they are going to start with those who received today?

I feel so fortunate and grateful that we were able to get our vaccination with such ease. I pray that the people who are searching for the vaccine will find it soon.

@50Mickey - I believe they're going to do all of them because I mentioned to the worker that my friend had gotten hers yesterday and that we'd both been concerned about having to look for the 2nd shot.  I heard that Dekalb is also doing that so Cobb must have had a change of heart, which is wonderful.

Not sure what is happening here now.  Got a text from the County that they are opening up 1b to 65+ and also people 16 and older with "underlying health problems" (which is still undefined) starting this Mon, the 18th.

Sounds good, but in the next paragraph,  they say that it will take several weeks and possibly months to get through the 75+ folks - which apparently still have priority.

So I have no idea what that means.  So is it 1b and then 1b.1?  What is the point of having everyone really overwhelm the system if they are not ready for the second group?

I'll call Kaiser Mon and see what they can tell me I guess.

The vaccine is being rolled out everywhere. Contact your physician's office and see when they'll be getting their vaccines in. I know that it also goes by age and classification, so be patient and wait a short while.

@Effie54 -yeah, when I called my primary he said he wasn't participating so it was up to me to find the vaccine.

I decided to go ahead and call today and I am added to the wait list so I just need to be patient.

Re: Trying to find the Covid vaccine

Per today's Washington Post: all Federally "reserved" vaccines have already been distributed so next week's vaccine supply will remain "flat" (I.e. no new influx of supply).  In my rural area (100 shots this week for 14,000 people), I'm thinking I don't have a "shot" at getting vaccine until Johnson & Johnson ramps out single shot version and Govt fixes distribution of same.

Re: Trying to find the Covid vaccine

I cannot find it on Long Island. I wasn't even able to make an appointment for the future. Patience will be necessary.
