Trying to Find an Old Friend's Phone Number

I'm trying to find a phone number for an old friend. We knew each other when we were young, and have lost touch. I'm going to a meeting in her state and want to see her.

I just want her phone number. I don't want a background check, age, or any of the other things "available" online now!

I used to be able to search with the name and the city. Now they want to give me all of her personal information - for a fee of course!

I tried White Pages, and even had no luck there.

Can anyone help? TIA! Smiley Happy

Have you tried to google her name and at least state to see if any number pops up?  Sometimes I get someone's number if they have already put it out there for whatever reason due to business or some sort of organization.

Try using Dogpile to search.

Dogpile is a metasearch engine for information on the World Wide Web that fetches results from Google, Yahoo!, Yandex, Bing and results from other popular search engines, including those from audio and video content providers such as Yahoo!

Good Luck!

Re: Trying to Find an Old Friend's Phone Number

In the olden days we called "directory assistance" to get a phone number.  I wondered if that service still exists today so I Googled it.  Here is a link to a government site that might help.  I hope the mods allow this link - it is to the government, and does not sell anything.

Here goes:

https://www.utc.wa.gov/consumers/telephone/Pages/directoryAssistance.aspx

I'd try the area code she lives in followed by 555-1212.  Hope this helps.

Re: Trying to Find an Old Friend's Phone Number

I usually have been able to find phone numbers on the page before they ask for money.  Just google her name and search until you can narrow her down.  Also i have been successful finding people on Facebook.  Goodluck.

@beach-mom   So many people don't have a land line these days. Search for a facebook account.

Thanks everyone, but nothing worked. I did find her son's Facebook account (I'm not on FB), but no phone number. I found her current address, and I know it's her because of the previous addresses listed.

You would probably have better luck searching for her on Facebook.  How long has it been since you spoke with this woman?  If you know where she works, try contacting through work.

Private Message her son on FB.  That's how i found my friend, by contacting her son.
