If another can easily anger you it is because you are off balance with yourself.

I say true to a certain extent. A person who is confident within themselves cannot be angered by another person's words. Actions on the other hand are a different matter.

I think "easily" is the key. Most likely, if we're fairly well grounded we can keep our cool and be aware of those who try to push the buttons EMT mentioned. In my opinion, words can be as caustic as actions sometimes and, so, they might be a justifiable reason for us to feel anger and to react accordingly.

Anger's not always a bad thing. A friend of mine who's a pastor often says she uses anger as a fuel... if you're careful with it, it burns clean and can be useful.

Interesting thread, Slate! Thanks, and welcome to Viewpoints!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Thank you, dooBdoo! What you said makes sense to me. Even Jesus himself was known to become angry but rarely.

Good point. And what a salient reminder that it can happen to the best of us. To someone who was far better than us.

I would have to say false. I don't think anger has to be a problem. It's a normal reaction in some cases. What you do with it can or cannot be the problem. That part is up to you. I don't really see it as ""off balance with yourself"".

People can get stuck in their anger. When you see someone here repeat themselves over and over about something that was said years ago...it's just sad. Most people have moved on. Frightening that they are allowed to own firearms when clearly they are so unstable.
