I had a great aunt and uncle who owned a true value Hardware Store out in Odessa Texas. I went to stay a few weeks with them when I was around 12:00 or 13.  My aunt taught me needle point and gave me all the thread I wanted. It was a cool store.

Hubbs remarked just the other day that he doesn't buy much stuff from NAPA or Auto Zone or True Value. He'd rather order online.

Why are so many stores, like some CVS's, Walgreen's, True Value, going out of business?

We had one just a couple of miles from the house, it was so convenient AND I think the workers knew where every nut and bolt was. I really miss them, they were one of the first 'friends' we made when we bought this house out here 30 years ago.

Big Lots closing also and Walgreens closing 1,200 stores.  Restaurant chains also.  So depressing.

I haven't seen a True Value store in over 25 years.  We have Ace.
