We just had one open in our area a month or so ago.  Was so excited when I read all the comments on here.  I went today was very disappointed.  Prices higher that other area markets, very little to offer.  Oh well.

I love Trader Joe's!!!!  I do most of my grocery shopping there.  I'm there just about every week.

Love Trader Joe's.  No membership needed, no need to 'click' onto items on sale ahead of time in order to benefit from those clicks/offers.

Just pure and simple prices.  Most much lower than our local supermarkets where memberships and computers are needed.

In a way, I feel sorry for folks who aren't computer saavy.......they aren't able to enjoy the sale prices unless they have clicked onto those items via computers/gadgets that they might not have.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I haven't heard many complaints about the prices at Trader Joe's. What were you buying that was more expensive than grocery stores? i love Trader Joe's especially during this time of the year lots of yummy pumpkin items. I don't shop at Trader Joe's for weekly groceries mainly just for special items. If you are entertaining and need cheeses, meats and items for a charcuterie tray you cannot beat Trader Joe's for the price.

We have a TJ's a 10 minute walk away.  Go there every week.  I like that the store isn't that big.  Love the paella in a bag.  The bagels are the best we've found outside of NYC.  Would very much miss it if we didn't have one close by.

@rms1954 - not so much the prices for me, but I just don't care for the selection. Too many specialty items that I am not interested in.  I am a one grocery store kind of person.  Go in, get my groceries and come home.  I don't like to chase the groceries all around town.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Sorry you didn't enjoy shopping at TJ's @rms1954 . My experience is exactly opposite of yours and I find the prices to be excellent.  I love that they're always bringing in new and interesting items to try and the packaging is adorable. Last night we had their new cauliflower, kale, and navy bean chili for dinner. So delicious!

I go at least once a week and do about 85% of my shopping there. If they had any more great things I'd need to enlarge my kitchen to accommodate it all, lol.

I make gift baskets for special occasions filled with TJ items for our neighbors who are always so good to us. They include delicious food items, beauty products and, for some, a sampling of unique beer and wines. Even the dogs get in on the action. This week they're especially loving the pumpkin maple bacon flavored treats.

I heard there's a new treat this week called the Chew-cuteries--a take on the flavors included on a charcuterie board. I haven't told my dog yet so, shhh...it's a surprise! Smiley Very Happy

Going to Trader Joe's is a fun experience. It's really no wonder they have such a huge following of devoted shoppers. Smiley Happy

I love Trader Joe's!   Unfortunately, there isn't one too near to me, since I relocated.  The closest one is 30 minutes away.  I go there once a month, but would love to have one closer.

Our country is experiencing soaring inflation....everything has gone up.  Love my TJ's...it's a staple.  They have great plant cheese (made with cashews), green organic apples, vegan chili, organic potatoes/onions/bell peppers/fresh basil/trail mix cookies,...the list goes on.  We do a weekly trip.

I don't find TJ's to be expensive, it's just that I spend too much money there because I want everything. 😩
