I am glad that you found some new information, I confess to getting excited about every bit that I find. There are lots of Minnies in my family history, most all were baptized as Wilhelmine.

Your grandfather may show up in the Federal Census of 1920 if he came before the rest of the family. Searching the index is free at http://search.ancestry.com/search/db.aspx?dbid=6061 , membership required to view the actual pages. Many libraries have free access to ancestry.
