Actually, it is a well known fact here that Tori was givne everything - including many parts and rolls due to her late dad's influence and calling in favors.  She was raised in the lap of luxury and probably finds life hard to maneuver now that she's gotta make it without her dad's 'umbrella'.  If it weren't for her connection (being a Spelling) she doesn't have the looks to have landed many parts or rolls or any at all.

I can't feel sorry for her.  Her husband came across as an opportunists as he knew he could bed more attractive females but she had the inside with her dad's name and reputation.  Helped his career for a while.

She is a spoiled pampered princess who lives beyond her means.  Her mother bought her home for her and pays for her children's educations.  She's bailed her out before.  She and her lazy, cheating husband need to start working more and spending less.

She seems clueless.

It is hard for us "the regular" people to comprehend what it costs to live in California, and where they live.  Yes, they make money from TV shows, commercials, print ads.  Some are flat fees, some pay residuals.  All payments go through agent who takes 15%, then a manager who takes 10%.  Then there are taxes...Upkeep is  really expensive, hair , make up, day care, transportation, publicist... plus home upkeep.  Her home has to cost a couple million.  She has to pay 40 to 50,000 in taxes a year.  And so it goes.  Legal fees are always  a lot.   every time they have their Lawyer "look over something", cha-CHING, LOL!

In no way am I making excuses for her.  She is extravagant.  She was raised that way.  She has been working a long time if you go back to her first tv show.  The BH shows, I forgot the zip code, LOL!  The trouble with so many of the child actors, is so few are grounded, educated even.  Some barely get through High school.  They get a portion of their pay while they are under 21, but after that and after 26 they have free reign.  Then come the real estate, cars and jet life style.

I think the mistake most make is they don't keep tabs on their CPA, and manager.  They get over charged, and sometimes don't even receive the residuals due them.  Many child actors have fell upon leaner times, and live fairly humble just to keep some money.  Others feel they have a lifestyle to keep up and never change.

Both are divorced and pay dues one way or another.  They have kids.  It is not cheap.  If you inherit 800,000 in California, you will be lucky to see 500,000 of that.  500,000 won't buy you half a house here in places they live.  That money had to be gone before she got a check.  I think she had tons of legal fees too.

Again, I am not making excuses for her, nor do I feel sorry for her.  But, I can see how, without proper management and restrain money would be gone!

And on top of all that, which having lived in Calif most of my life (San Diego and Pasadena prior to that) I know that what you say is 1,000% true....... I understood that when her father died she and her Mother became estranged to the point that the Mom barely gave her any of her inheritance and refused to bail her out a number of times.   This was awhile ago but I don't think their relationship is much better.

While I dont excuse her behavior, it seems we have a number of 'cranky pants' here tonight.

I just got home from work.  My back is screaming.  I have to make dinner.  Handsome won't be home from work 'til about 8PM, eleven hours after he left this morning.  Just a normal day for us.  I have not one iota of sympathy for these people.  None.

It really is tough to feel sorry for these two.

Her father left the bulk of his estate to his wife.  That is what most husbands do.

I do not buy the story no one ever taught her to live within her means.  It seems she wants to live within the means of her father and not what she and her charming husband make. Then there's that nasty thing called child support.  Tori knew there were children involved when she decided to cheat on her husband with her present husband.
