I think I got 25 cents. That would be starting in the late 50's., I guess.

Nada, zip! But when DD lost her first tooth, DH slipped a dollar under her pillow.

I received five cents for the first tooth I lost. My paternal grandmother handed me a quarter when she found out I lost a tooth. My best friend got a dollar for her first lost tooth. But that was it. After the first tooth, the fairy disappeared in my neighborhood.

I think it was a 50 cent piece. That would have paid for admission to the movies. Or maybe a small toy at Ben Franklin ![]()

so I got 25 cents for a front tooth and 50 cents for a back tooth! I gave my kids a dollar for every tooth...
